Map of Ireland: 16th century vs 17th century

I love how the 16th century map looks like somebody’s shitty Warhammer map compared to a map made just a century later, which is actually pretty accurate (compared to recent satellite images). The first map sort of looks like a bearded face, weirdly enough (maybe intentional?) but I’ve always thought Ireland looked like a heart, with little ventricle openings at the top and everything. <3
